Yesterday I reached Lowestoft a week after leaving Hamble and well, what a week it has been! We’ve had everything from no wind to 3 knot tides and lots of wind!
I had a really fast sail from Shotley yesterday… top surf clocked in at 11.5 knots!
Next is my biggest leg of the whole trip. An 100 mile sail up to Grimsby. This is expecting to take between 20-26 hours! It’s going to be difficult but I am looking forward to getting it done. When my weather window opens up on Sunday. I’d also like to say a huge thanks to Lowestoft Haven Marina ABP and The Royal Norfolk & Suffolk Yacht Club for letting me stay with them for a couple nights in Lowestoft ahead of my next leg.
