Yesterday I reached a great little Harbour in Whitehills, the most northerly stop on my trip. I have been looking forward to coming to Whitehills Marina ever since I planned my stops for the trip and I couldn’t have had a better welcome. The Harbour Master Bertie was incredibly helpful and to my astonishment presented me with a generous donation to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust on behalf of the marina.
I stopped here for a rest day as I hadn’t stopped since North Shields. Tomorrow I am headed to one of my last stops on the East Coast before I go into the Caledonian Canal. Wow! What a journey it has been so far!
I am also over the moon to announce that we have already exceeded our initial target of £2,500 for the EMCTrust! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated!
Since I haven’t even finished the East Coast yet I have made the decision to up out target to £5000!
