Another early start! We left Dartmouth at 5am today, headed for Portland. The seas approaching Portland Bill were quite confused, we had a fairly constant F5 from the west all the way. I decided to take the inner channel of Portland race as this cut a considerable amount of miles from my passage. This worked well and then we shot up to Portland on a beam reach in less than an hour… We had a bit too much sail up but it was fun anyway!
Now I’m beginning to finalise plans for the last part of my Round Britain Project. At the moment it looks like I will arrive back into
Hamble Point Marina on Thursday 1st October – keep an eye on my Facebook page for more details!
